Old News Art for Healing - Memorial Hospital Gala 2006

There will be approximately 65 pieces auctioned and on exhibit at Memorial's Health Place at Hamilton Place beginning February 13th, then moved to the Chattanooga Theatre for the Gala. Please join in the fun on Saturday, February 25th for an evening of delicious hors d'oeuvres, cocktails and music while you bid on selected works of art and jewelry featuring some the nations most talented and recognized artists. Lecture begins at 6:30 pm. Gala begins at 7:30 pm. Proceeds benefit the Arts Medicine Program at Memorial Health Care System. This year award winning musician, composer, music therapist and cancer survivor, Dr. Deforia Lane, Director of Music Therapy at University Hospitals of Cleveland, Ireland Cancer Center and Rainbow Babies and Children Hospital, will be the featured speaker at Memorial's 6th Annual Art for Healing Gala. The artwork to be auctioned comes from local, regional and national artists and was selected for the auction by Juror Donna Glassford, Director of Cultural Enrichment at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. I also was fortunate enough to have been selected to exhibit in two past galas. The 2004 photo chosen was my butterfly "Morning Glory Feast". Then in 2003 my "Lost In Bama" was selected. I am always thankful to be selected.
