A Passage of Time

What goes on inside your mind
I'll never know or understand
But, I'll be your friend til the end of time

The ghosts sometime flash before my eyes
As fleeting moments pass slowly by
No, I'll never know what goes on inside your mind
But, I'll be your friend til the end of time

But yet, when we least expect
The ghosts find time to appear
Like the stars in the night sky
Shining bright as they pass by

I miss them bad you see
I know that is why they come to me

Their shadows cross my wall
As they travel endlessly
I can sometimes feel them
I reach out...but they disappear
